MEDICAL HISTORY: Mr. Rickelman was injured in a factory accident on March 9, 1998 when both of his hands were caught in a steel splitter machine. His right dominate hand was crushed and his left hand was also injured. His left hand was partially amputated below the wrist leaving him with a partial thumb and good wrist movement. He has a cosmetic prosthetic hand. He is independent in his activities of daily living but struggles with these functioning activities.
